Why Thai?
After hearing about Farmhouse Kitchen through Instagram and Google, Julie was immediately intrigued. “The photos looked amazing, and the menu had so many options,” she shared. With colorful dishes, creative presentations, and a variety of choices, it seemed like the perfect spot for her visit.
First Impressions
Walking inside, Julie noticed the space felt dark, quiet, and calming, with dim lighting that created a relaxing vibe throughout the restaurant. Large tables and colorful décor gave the restaurant an upscale yet welcoming feel, making it ideal for everything from date nights to large group dinners.
“The lighting was one of my favorite parts,” Julie said. “It felt cozy and relaxing right away.”
Flavorful Dishes & Standouts
Julie ordered a variety of dishes to sample, including yellow chicken curry, pad see ew with tofu, grilled salmon, beef salad, crispy egg rolls, and the neua num tok rolls.
Two dishes immediately stood out as favorites: the neua num tok rolls and the yellow curry. The yellow curry was packed with bold spices and rich flavor, with an aroma that made an impression before the first bite. “It had such a strong but pleasant flavor,” Julie shared. “Very flavorful and comforting.”
The neua num tok rolls (grilled Snake River Farms wagyu beef wrapped with mint, cilantro, and cucumber, served with cilantro lime vinaigrette) were another standout. Fresh, savory, and perfectly balanced, they quickly became one of the highlights of the meal.
The crispy egg rolls also impressed her with their flavorful filling of glass noodles, carrot, shiitake mushroom, and black pepper, paired with a delicious chili peanut sauce. Julie also loved the beef salad, describing it as refreshing, crunchy, and packed with flavor from the fresh herbs and toppings.
Service & Atmosphere
The customer service was quick, efficient, and straightforward from start to finish. Food arrived fast, the menu was easy to navigate, and the spacious seating made the dining experience comfortable and relaxed.
Julie described the overall vibe as flavorful, relaxing, and vibrant. While she mentioned the restaurant leans slightly pricey, she felt the large portions and quality ingredients made it worth it.
The Overall Vibe
Pretty Ugly provided service that was warm and attentive, even with the order-at-the-bar setup. The ambiance included dim lighting, modern design, and a cozy layout, which made it easy to relax and enjoy the experience. And one feature that stood out was the photo booth. “Such a fun touch,” Dr. Amanda said. “It made the night feel even more special.”
