Whether she’s exploring a new corner of the world or helping bring people together right here in Portland, Dr. Sahar Jaferian has always been passionate about building community and learning from others. Born and raised in Iran, she brings a deep appreciation for human connection into everything she does, including her work as a dedicated dentist. Her love of people, culture, and shared stories naturally forms her warm, thoughtful approach to dental care.

Dr. Sahar is known for her calm, empathetic demeanor and her ability to help patients feel genuinely seen and heard. She believes in treating more than just symptoms by taking time to understand each person’s story, concerns, and goals. Her clinical care is rooted in compassion, evidence-based practices, and a belief that dentistry plays an important role in overall well-being.

A proud graduate of Oregon Health & Science University School of Dentistry, she’s an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Oregon Dental Association (ODA). Dr. Sahar loves being part of the collaborative team at Bling Dental. One thing she’s especially proud of is the practice’s use of same-day crown technology, which is an innovation that allows patients to receive high-quality, efficient care without sacrificing comfort. 

A globe-trotter at heart, Dr. Sahar loves traveling the world, soaking up new cultures, and collecting stories along the way. But when she’s home in Portland, it’s food and community that make her feel most rooted. Whether she’s discovering the city’s ever-changing restaurant scene or helping organize a floating social group that brings people together, she finds joy in connecting with others. A self-proclaimed bigger cat lover than Taylor Swift, at home you will often find her snuggled up to her rescue, Tahdeeg (named after her favorite Persian dish!). If she hadn’t found her calling in dentistry, there’s a good chance she’d be off solving mysteries as a private detective using the same curiosity, attention to detail, and heart she brings to every patient she meets.
