Portland Comprehensive Dentist
Dr. Breanna Velander
Dr. Bre grew up in the dental office. Her Dad was a dentist, and her Mom was a dental hygienist. Thanks to the sterling example of her parents, her practice of dentistry is an integration of healthy living and healthy smiles. Dentistry is right up her alley since she loves meeting new people and is a warm, caring, attentive, and knowledgeable dentist and friend. She is a strong advocate for education and is devoted to preventative and comprehensive care.
Dr. Bre treats everyone as family and genuinely wants the best for them and their smile. For most of her life, she worked in various positions in the dental office, so she knows how to give outstanding care. And, no surprise, her favorite role is being a dentist because she gets to work with her hands and physically help people.
Since nutrition fundamentally relates to a vibrant smile, she is currently pursuing a master’s in nutrition at the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science to incorporate a healthy diet into the practice of dentistry. She is a graduate of the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry and of the University of Nebraska (where she received her Bachelor's in nutrition). She is also a member of the ADA, the ODA, the AAFE, and the Multnomah Dental Society. While she was practicing dentistry in Virginia, she was voted 2nd place for Best Bedside Manner in the Southwest region of Virginia.
When Dr. Bre is not at the dental office, she is most likely traveling the world with her soulmate. She has visited 49 states in the US, Puerto Rico, and 16 other countries. She loves languages and would like to have the superpower to speak every language! She enjoys hiking, beach trips with the dogs, and cooking.
