What’s your favorite part about being a dentist? My favorite part is providing a positive and comfortable experience for my patients in the office. I strive to pay attention to the little details and guide patients through their treatment as comfortably as possible. It is a great feeling when we can work through previous anxiety about the dentist and achieve great oral health.
What’s one of your favorite parts of your work routine that people would find interesting to learn about? I learn so much from talking to my patients and hearing about their lives outside of dentistry. Also, I can always add activities to my bucket list such as a new restaurant to try or a great scenic hike.

You’re stuck on a deserted island, what one food item would you never get tired of eating? Tropical fruit
When did you first know you wanted to become a dentist? I was an Anthropology major in college and I loved comparing all of the teeth in my skeletal biology classes! My family also has four generations of dentists so I always had an interest in pursuing it as a career.
If you weren’t a dentist what would you do? It would be fun to be a dancer on a cruise ship so that I could perform and then relax at all of the beach destinations.
What’s something that would surprise people to know about you? I have a sweet tooth and I have some fillings. Dentists don’t all have perfect teeth or flossing habits.
Do you have any crazy goals for the future? I would love to take kiteboarding lessons in Hood River. I love watching them whenever I’m there on the waterfront. I grew up water skiing and wakeboarding but navigating the crazy wind on a kiteboard seems challenging.
Any secret skills or talents few people know about? I can teach myself the choreography from a dance video and then love to teach others and convince them to dance with me! (even before the online world of TikTok started)
Do you have any strange collections or items you collect? I have a collection of orchid plants that no longer have flowers but I can’t bring myself to throw them away! Sometimes I can get them to bloom again but unfortunately my collection looks more like an orchid graveyard.
